Hertfordshire County Council

Hertfordshire citizens panel

Join our panel of hundreds of Hertfordshire citizens to give your views on local issues and council services, influence council decisions and have a say on matters that affect you.

What is it?

  • We regularly consult Hertfordshire's citizen's panel for their views on how we should deliver our services.
  • We may ask the panel to provide feedback on our partners, such as the NHS or the Police and Crime Commissioner.
  • By joining the panel, you get the chance to contribute to local democracy and get your voice heard by local decision-makers.

How does it work?

  • We contact you around once a month to take part in research activities.
  • You choose which activities to take part in.

What kind of research activities?

A variety of methods, including:

  • online discussions and surveys
  • face-to-face focus groups
  • workshops and 'question time' events.

What happens next?

  • We share your anonymous feedback with councillors and managers, who use it to help their decision-making.
  • We send out a newsletter to share upcoming consultations and the outcomes of recent decisions.
