The outcome of this consultation can be found in the Charging Policy Decision document from the Adult Care and Health Cabinet panel papers.

The following changes to the council’s policy charges for non residential (community based) adult social care services took effect from 15 April 2018:

(i) Higher Attendance and Disability allowance for people who recieve night care.

(ii) People recieving care from 2 care workers, they will now be charged for both instead of one, or at least to their maximum contribution.

(iii) Flexi-Care base changes:
-Low needs band to 3 hours per week
-Medium need bands to 8.5 hours per week
-High needs band to fifteen hours per week.

(iv) £3.25 fee for telephone services provided by Serco if no other social services are recieved.

a. To charge £2 per journey or £4 per day for transportation to and from day care.

We proposed to make changes to how we charge for some of our community based adult social care services. These services support adults living at home and include things like home care, day care, flexicare and transport.
