We invited your views on our Draft Minerals Local Plan 2017 which outlines:
- the sites and areas identified for future mineral extraction
- the policies and approaches proposed to guide minerals development up to 2031.
The county council produced the Statement of Issues Raised to summarise the large number of representations received in response to the Draft Minerals Local Plan and the Minerals Local Plan Omission Sites consultation documents. The document presents summaries of the key and recurring issues, arranged by theme and provides the county council’s responses to each issue.
Read the Statement of Issues Raised
The county council has also produced a Table of All Issues Raised. This is a very large document containing each individually submitted representation with its assigned Representation ID. The Issues are arranged by subject and contain the county council’s response to each issue. In the majority of cases, the county council’s response refers the reader to an Issue number contained in the Statement of Issues Raised document or states that recommendations for wording changes will be considered at a later date during the next stage of Plan-production. Some council responses are included directly in this document.

We produced a series of topic papers as background information for the contents of the draft Minerals Local Plan.
Their purpose is to help you understand the consultation document and its development.
