What was the proposal?

This is a consultation on the proposal to lower the admission age of Tenterfield Nursery School, London Road, Welwyn, AL6 9JF, to enable the school to offer nursery provision to 2-year-old children from 1 September 2017.

Read the Tenterfield consultation letter for more information.

Why is it proposed to lower the admission age?

The number of places for 2-year-old children in the locality will reduce when an existing Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) provider closes in summer 2017.

Lowering the admission age of the nursery, means 2-year-old children in the community, particularly the most vulnerable, are able to access the free place that they are entitled to.
