Richard Thake is the Chairman of Hertfordshire County Council. He was elected in 2017.
The position of Chairman is held for a period of 2 years.
The Chairman runs meetings of the Council to ensure business is conducted efficiently and in accordance with the law and the Constitution.
The Vice-Chairman supports the Chairman and helps him to carry out his duties.
