Hertfordshire Forward is the local strategic partnership which brings together all the key agencies in the county to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of Hertfordshire residents.
Originally there were three elements to Hertfordshire Forward: the Assembly, the Strategy Group and the annual conference. In 2018, the decision was taken to cease the Assembly and the Strategy Group, as partnership working across Hertfordshire has developed considerably since the Assembly was established in 2013. We have much stronger and more active partnership working across all sectors and there is a risk of duplication of effort in organising events.
We (Hertfordshire County Council) remain strongly committed to partnership engagement. We recognise the importance of bringing all partners from across the county together to collectively discuss the key issues facing us all and plan to continue to hold an annual conference.
Hertfordshire Forward Conference is held annually to bring a wide variety of partners together to consider the current issues for the county and discuss ways to support the strategic partnerships approach to tackling these.
