The Leader

Richard Roberts is the Leader of Hertfordshire County Council.

The Leader's deputy is Councillor Morris Bright MBE.

The Leader's role is to be the leading political voice for the council and to represent the interests of Hertfordshire on the regional and national stage.

The Leader chairs the Cabinet, appoints councillors and allocates their portfolio.
