Stay Safe Hertfordshire

Hertfordshire united against coronavirus - #TeamHerts volunteering

In light of recent developments, we’ve been working with public health and adult care service colleagues along with a range of services and partners locally to produce a community focussed residents’ campaign; Hertfordshire united against coronavirus.

The campaign hopes to inspire people to look out for others in their community, motivate residents who can to volunteer their time to help and support those who may be in need and/or feeling isolated. We will focus on sharing messages of reassurance, reminding people to use trusted sources for information and advice and encouraging a humanitarian response to the virus.

Hertfordshire County Council, HertsHelp, Hertfordshire Care Providers Association and #TeamHerts Volunteering are partnering to lead and coordinate volunteers across the county to help support those affected by coronavirus.. #TeamHerts Voulteering will be matching location, availability and skills of the volunteer network to ensure we have the right support to allocate across the most vital of services. We also want to make sure that residents who are older, less able or self-isolating know where and how to get support should they need it.

We would love you to share this on your networks, and on your channels. We will be uploading all the campaign materials onto this page and providing further updates as the campaign progresses.

Hertfordshire handwashing campaign

Our communications team has produced some coronavirus campaign materials as a local complement to the national advice on handwashing. We’ve used a selection of our trusted frontline staff to deliver the key message about washing hands regularly, for 20 seconds, using soap and hot water.

We’re making these materials, which include social media images and poster, available to all our partners. Please do make use of these on your own channels and share them with your staff.

We will also be adding the latest FAQs, statements and any other information that may be useful to share with partners, staff and residents as the situation develops.
