The county has been associated with film making since the very earliest days of the industry.  By the late 1920s, Hertfordshire was at the heart of film making in Britain.

The County’s own film studios became world famous and peaked during the 1950s and 60s, turning out hundreds of well-known films and supporting thousands of jobs, mainly in Elstree and Borehamwood.  From The Dambusters and The Dirty Dozen to Harry Potter and Star Wars, come and find out more about Hertfordshire’s Hollywood.
