Hoddesdon Post Office will relocate into Hoddesdon Library next month, following a new development between Hertfordshire Libraries and the Post Office in which both services will be available and accessible to people of all ages in one building.
The Post Office also joins Broxbourne Borough Council’s, One Stop Shop service, located at the front of the library.
Principal Librarian Rachel Bilton said:
“This will be a real benefit to Post Office customers and library visitors alike offering an increased range of services to both.
“Bringing together the library, One Stop Shop and the Post Office in one place not only affords greater convenience for customers but also helps to sustain the high street and support a vibrant community hub in the middle of Hoddesdon.”
The Post Office branch will move from 72 High Street, Hoddesdon EN11 8HB to the local library at 98 High Street, where it will be run by TD Post Shop Ltd who will also offer the same wide range of services and products including packaging, stationery and gifts.
The new branch will reopen in Hoddesdon Library on 10 May 2018, and will share the main entrance to the library but have a dedicated area with four serving positions.
