Hertfordshire libraries are inviting 10-18 year olds to get creative with their reading this summer by taking part in ImagiNation, a reading and arts project that has been designed with the help of young people.
It is free to sign up for ImagiNation. To take part, young people simply need to borrow two library books over the summer holidays. Then write or draw what they thought of one of the books on a book band provided and hand it to library staff. They can also produce a piece of artwork inspired by one of them to put on the ImagiNation blog if they wish. The blog is secure and fully moderated and can be found at http://imaginationeast.org.uk/
The artwork could be:
- a drawing, collage or painting
- a photograph or film
- a sculpture, model or design
- a poem
- a piece of music, a dance or a play
- any other art form that they are interested in!
On completing the challenge, young people will receive a certificate and lanyard and will be entered into a prize draw to win one of 3 Amazon vouchers worth up to £70!

ImagiNation runs from 14th July - 8th September 2018.
