Leading the way in apprenticeships

Hertfordshire County Council is proud to be announced as an East of England finalist in the National Apprenticeship Awards 2019.
The National Apprenticeship Awards recognise the achievements of extraordinary apprentices, the organisations that employ them and the individuals that champion apprenticeships.
Cabinet Member for Resources and Performance, Cllr Ralph Sangster said: “This is fantastic news and testament to the hard work we are doing at Hertfordshire County Council to inspire and promote apprenticeships.
“We are already seeing the many benefits apprenticeships are bringing to the community of Hertfordshire and there is so much more to come. Our providers have really stepped up to the challenge to set the standards required to encourage apprenticeships as a key part of our workforce planning.
“None of this would have been possible without our Human Resources team who have been relentless in their devotion to apprenticeships. I am so pleased that their commitment and hard work is being recognised in this way – they are a credit to the county council.”
The winner will be announced at the East of England Regional Ceremony on Wednesday 11 September at the Newmarket Racecourse in Cambridge.
