Long Nose Puppets are bringing their production of Penguin to Hatfield Library this festive season, with two shows on Sunday 10 December.
Hertfordshire County Council, in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire, will be hosting the show which is based on the award-winning book by Polly Dunbar.
The show is about a boy named Ben who receives a penguin as a present, but the penguin will not speak to him, so he tries to find a way to get the penguin to speak.
Penguin is exciting, surreal and full of surprises, with a number of lively songs by Tom Gray of Gomez, which will have everyone joining in.
The theatre experience is suitable for all ages, but in particular 2-8 year olds.
Cabinet Member for Education, Libraries and Localism, Terry Douris, said: “We have many great events planned in Hertfordshire Libraries this festive season, with something for everyone. Pop into your local library or check out our website for details.
