Trade in your old worn out slippers for FREE at a Slipper Swap Social Event being held at Rickmansworth Library on Tuesday 9
October and find out how to avoid falls and stay warm and well this winter.

hospitalisation and loss of independence which is why we’re offering older and
vulnerable residents the chance to swap their old slippers for a free brand new
pair of anti-slip ones.
Visitors are invited to come along to one of the events for a cuppa and a chat
about social groups in their community, and to learn how to stay safe with
helpful tips and advice from Age UK and other event partners. Visitors will
also have a chance to have a go at some games and jigsaw puzzles, and browse
memory boxes from our reminiscence collection.

years we have successfully swapped over 900 pairs of slippers at our social
events throughout Hertfordshire, and provided valuable information about the
services and support that are available for older people.
