The 16-19 Tuition Fund is a one-off payment for all 16-19 education providers for the 2020-2021 year. The fund is providing additional money to support learners to catch up on any learning or gaps in knowledge as a result of COVID-19.
HAFLS will use this money for small group and 1:1 tuition delivered either online, face-to-face or via a blended model in English, maths or any element of the programme that a learner needs support with, such as life skills or employability.
- To be eligible for this additional support learners must be aged 16 to 19 and must not have already achieved a GCSE grade 5 or above in English or maths. Learners aged 19 to 24 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) will also be eligible for this support.
- HAFLS commits to producing this statement of intent and publicising this on our website. We agree to record and retain evidence of the use of the fund and delivery tuition in 2020/2021 including learner name and number of hours of tuition. Any underspend will be notified to the ESFA for reclamation.
