***‘YC Hertfordshire Services for Young People youth projects and all other face-to-face work is currently suspended following government rules on remaining at home in order to tackle the COVID-19 outbreak.’***

The Hertford and Ware Young People’s Forum is for young people aged 11-17 living in and around Hertford and Ware who want to make a difference in their community. You will get the chance to express your ideas, opinions and solutions to decision makers, including council staff and community organisations. This is your chance to get your voice heard and make a difference, so come and get involved!

Join the Hertford and Ware Young People's Forum and get involved in your local community, make a difference and make new friends!

What do we do? We meet to identify and find solutions to the issues that affect us and other young people in the area. We then share ideas, opinions, solutions and aspirations with local decision makers. We also plan and deliver social action projects in the local community to help others.

What are our priorities?

  • Promoting opportunities for young people in the Hertford and Ware area
  • Establishing a Youth Strategy Group where young people can meet with organisations which work with young people and shape the services they deliver.

What have we achieved? We recently made a short film which shares young people’s views on personal safety, gang association, county lines and knife crime. This has informed the professional discussions of decision makers within Safeguarding Hubs across Hertfordshire.

Meeting weekly at Ware Young People’s Centre, we are very welcoming of new members who would like to come along and help improve opportunities for all young people living in Hertford and Ware.

The Ware Young People's Centre is fully wheelchair accessible.
