A new train app for people with SEND

A “life-changing” app  called Passenger Assist, that can track disabled rail users in real-time has been developed and is to be rolled out nationwide next autumn.

Passenger Assist will update station staff on where a passenger is at any point, useful in the event of a delay, change of platform or missed train.

It is the perfect tool for those who require specific assistance at train stations. Use the app to send your exact location to staff at train stations, who will locate you quickly – just press one button and help comes to you.

No trouble. No effort. Just assistance.

Four rail companies are using an early version, with the full one to be available across Britain next autumn.
