How to request support
We consider requests for support from schools and settings. However, we need your parental consent for every request for support a school sends for your child or young person.
- A school will contact us for advice about a pupil before they formally request our support.
- The school will explain the situation and from there we may suggest a number of different things. We may provide strategies that a school can try themselves, or if the needs are particularly complex, we will advise they send us their request for support.
- We get involved at the stage where the school can do no more to support the pupil and need extra help themselves.
How we support parents
Although we work with schools and settings, we have Contactline, for parents only, where you can speak directly to an educational psychologist.
The working hours for Contactline are:
Wednesdays 2pm - 4.30pm
