We've built an online version of this year’s CLA Self-Evaluation Form (CLA SEF).
Following consultation with many Designated Teachers, the Virtual School have been working hard to reframe the proforma so that it becomes much more of a meaningful document for school staff to use as an annual report to your governors. We have listened to your feedback and condensed it, refocussed it and made it accessible online with the option to download and print off a copy for your records at the end of it.

The CLA SEF used to have three parts – it now only has two. Part One (which is available online now) is a shortened combination of the previous Parts 1 and 2 and does not need to be completed until Friday 19 March 2021 and Part Two which provides an audit tool of your Pupil Premium expenditure in school, is due at the end of the academic year.
Our aim is that you will find this a productive means of capturing and critiquing your school practice regarding the achievements of children looked after and previously looked after in your setting. You will be able to use the form as a way to determine what you do well in your school and what needs to be developed as practice set against the criteria in the statutory guidance on the role of the Designated Teacher for children looked after. Your Virtual School Education Adviser will continue to be on hand for support, along with our suite of resources and training opportunities for school staff which can be found on our website.
If you experience any difficulties or have any questions about the new format, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org who will be glad to assist you.
