HES uses the ELMS online ordering system to process all orders for standard stock items. To place an order, or check the status of an order, professionals will need to create an ELMS account and learn how to use the system.

By exception only, non-standard stock items (including beds, hoists and mattresses at present) may be ordered via fax.

Registering and using ELMS

Training for the ELMS system is available, as well as a glossary of terms used in ELMS, for reference.

When you log in to ELMS for the first time, you will be asked to fill out a short questionnaire, which takes approximately 5 minutes and will only need to be completed once. The information you provide will allow us to set up online authorisation for your account.

HES has assisted in the training of 'champions' within key Hertfordshire organisations, who are responsible for supporting their colleagues to use ELMS. If you have a query about using ELMS, please ask your champion or contact HES at
