News and events

We have attended local careers fairs and held various award ceremonies to present Purple Star awards, celebrating the success and achievements of teams and settings. Some of these include:

  • the new QEII Ambulatory Care team, along with the teams at Midway Surgery St Albans and Dolphin House Surgery Ware, received their Purple Star awards for adapting their services to meet the needs of people with learning disabilities. These awards were presented by Graham Duff – Strategic Lead Nurse for Hertfordshire County Council's Adult Disability Service and Hilary Gardener - Strategic Liaison Nurse for Primary Care
  • the Purple Star Strategy was a finalist in the Nursing Times award for bridging the gap of health inequalities
  • community nurse Barbie Sayers ran a careers fair at the University of Hertfordshire.
