Spotlight On Domestic Abuse 2017

We’re putting a Spotlight on Domestic Abuse for 16 days from Saturday 25 November.

Between 25 and 28 November, we’re putting a spotlight on domestic abuse where the abuser or the abused is a caregiver.

  • Even if you love or care for someone that is hurting you emotionally or physically, domestic abuse is never okay and should be reported.
  • You won’t be judged.

Support is available today

Between 29 November and 2 December, we’re putting a spotlight on domestic abuse towards men.

  • It’s good to talk. Experience tells us men can find it hard to speak out about domestic abuse, but we know it happens, and you’re not alone.
  • Tailored support specifically for men is available in Hertfordshire.

Between 3 and 6 December, we’re putting a spotlight on domestic abuse towards people with disabilities.

  • If you’re picked upon, hurt, manipulated, or financially controlled, this is abuse.
  • It is your right to feel safe and to get help.

Support is available to you today

Between 7 and 10 December, we’re putting a spotlight on domestic abuse within the LGBTQ community.

  • Does someone you’re supposed to trust call you names, hurts you, forces you to do things you don’t want to do, or controls who you see and what you wear?
  • You deserve better.
