Safe in the water

Encouraging everyone to take care and be aware of hazards around water.

More than 400 people drown in the UK each year, and thousands suffer near-drowning experiences. Shockingly, drowning is the third highest cause of accidental death in children in the UK.

Safe sleeping

Campaign to raise awareness of the risks of co-sleeping. It will allow practitioners to give appropriate information and advice to parents and carers to help them make an informed choice about safe sleeping arrangements for their babies and infants.

Blind cord safety

Campaign about the dangers of looped blind cords and chains.

Most accidental deaths involving blind cords take place in a bedroom. An average of 2 children in the UK die each year in blind cord or chain related accidents.

Read more about blind cord safety on the RoSPA website.

Bruising

A leaflet for professionals to help explain the process of the Bruising Protocol in Hertfordshire to parents.

We recognise swaddling a baby and use of a cot bumper are not aligned to the Safe Sleeping Guidance. Unfortunately, due to the limitations of the software available to us these are the only images we were able to use.

Fearless.org

Fearless.org enables young people to access non-judgemental information and advice about crime and criminality, as well as anonymously reporting crime and concerns when they do not feel confident in approaching a trusted adult. It is presented in a simple, user friendly format aimed at young people.

This is not a substitute for existing safeguarding referral processes but is aimed at those young people who may not otherwise reach out for help or access services.

Campaign flyers will be distributed across Hertfordshire. If you would like to order further copies, contact us.
