Hertfordshire County Council

A day in the life of a local roads maintenance team leader

As head of our local roads maintenance team, Vicky Saunders is a crucial constituent to Hertfordshire County Council.

Vicky’s daily routine often entails corresponding with local communities regarding upcoming schemes for local residents and ensuring a stringent budget within company finances, as well as solving potential issues that may come to light for particularly high-risk schemes within the programme.

In terms of work satisfaction, Vicky thoroughly enjoys watching her team grow, both within their respective roles and as a whole, which is evident every day through her commitment to the role and team.

Outside of the office, Vicky enjoys gardening, amongst other forms of home improvement.

You can report a fault on your road, request a dropped kerb, or visit our Highways homepage to see the full range of roadworks we are responsible for.
