Work to develop the A120 bypass and flood alleviation scheme is well advanced, with detailed design nearing completion.

Procurement for a contractor to deliver the scheme will begin soon.

We will undertake all detailed design work before a contractor is appointed to begin construction.

Planning permission for the scheme was granted in January 2017.

We are working in partnership with the Environment Agency to deliver the scheme. The whole scheme will be procured as one contract.

The procurement for the scheme will be open to the market and will be published on OJEU.

The anticipated procurement route will be a Restricted or two stage process including a Selection Questionnaire (SQ) stage.
