Voices of the Great War
Armistice centenary events and exhibition at Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies
On 01 Novmeber our foyer exhibition, titled Peace in Herts 1918-1919: how the county celebrated the end of the Great War, will open and will run to the end of December.
On 06 November, we will be holding the last in this year’s series of Family History Detectives. This session, led by Senior Librarian, Janice Brooker, will present a round up o0f First World War research resources released since 2014, including new sources from The Treasury and International Committee of the Red Cross.
On 07 November, you can hear Voices of the Great War, a performance of dramatized readings brought together to reflect the experiences of Hertfordshire civilians and servicemen.
