The story unfolds…
Funded by Arts Council England, in collaboration with Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies, YC Hertfordshire, and Nysa Projects, Hertfordshire Library Service presents My Story.
You are invited to Oxhey and Hertford Libraries where visual arts, music, installations, spoken and written word combine into the My Story micro-fest.
True stories of growing up, written by members of the Hertfordshire community, provide the backdrop and creative inspiration. Since the beginning of August, our talented and diverse production team, made up of project participants, professional artists and library staff, has been creating works of art to be showcased during Libraries Week.
An exhibition of visual art works and installations will be on display to the public during normal opening hours at Oxhey Library from 3 - 8 October, and Hertford Library from 10-15 October.
Why not join us for an evening of interactive events and short performances in an intimate setting at Oxhey Library on Saturday 5 October or Hertford Library on Saturday 12 October from 7pm.
Tickets are £5 each and include a free drink. To book tickets in advance please visit bit.ly/MyOxheyTickets or bit.ly/MyHertfordTickets
Children and families are welcome to drop in to our craft sessions. Come dressed as the character of your dreams, create a dream catcher and add your dreams to our dream library; at Oxhey Library on Saturday 5 October and Hertford Library on Saturday 12 October from 10am to 12 noon. Entry is £2 with no advance booking needed.
