Did you know that as a library member you can read newspapers online for free? This is a popular service that we offer and is available via our website - www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/librarynewspapers If you need help with downloading and using the app on your device then please refer to the helpsheet which is available on our website as above.
There are several ways to access Press Reader, in the library with our Wi-Fi, on our library PC’s, on a tablet, smartphone or at home or in fact anywhere! You’ll need your library membership number and pincode, just click on the yellow tab and enter Hertfordshire Community Libraries. Once logged in you have 30 days free access before being required to log out and then log back in. Easy to use, publications can be downloaded on to a PC or a mobile device from any location with the facility to set up an automatic download of the next copy of a publication.
This amazing resource provides access to over 7000 UK and international digital newspapers and magazines, including instant translation in up to 18 different languages for most articles and some full publications. You also have the option to search by category so for example, if the topic Art is your passion you can search and find a multitude of titles about Art. The audio narration function can be used to listen to many magazines and newspaper articles. Up to 3 months of back issues are also available for most titles. There is also an amazing range of community newspapers to view.
