Being a carer means that you have very little time to come to the library but, as a library member, you can access books and information from our online resources for free. BorrowBox is our elibrary which lets you download books onto most tablets and devices as ebooks or audiobooks. There is also a elibrary of ebooks and audiobooks for children so with the Summer Reading challenge coming to Hertfordshire Libraries in July, it’s the perfect time for them to try out this free service and discover new authors.
To keep up to date with newspapers from Britain and around the world explore PressReader to read national and local newspapers from the United Kingdom and around the world in 60 languages – ideal for improving your language skills.
Find out about benefits, legal advice and other practical information by accessing Information4living at www.hertfordhire.gov.uk/orlib. The Benefits section has links to various councils around Hertfordshire and advice about housing benefits and council tax. National advice websites are also included.
All of these services are free if you are a member of Hertfordshire Libraries, use the number on your card to access each of the services at www.hertfordhire.gov.uk/orlib
Not a member? You can join the library online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/libraries or by visiting your local library.
