Scam Awareness Roadshows

It’s OK to Say No!

Protect yourself from scams

Libraries across Hertfordshire are hosting Scam Awareness Roadshows in June and July to give local people an opportunity to find out more about doorstep, phone and postal criminal cons and cheats – and how to avoid them.

Visit your local event for free and trusted information and advice. Find details at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/scamaware or call 0300 123 4049

An advisor from Trading Standards, Neighbourhood Watch, Citizens Advice Bureau, AgeUK or the local Police Community Safety Officer will be available at events.

Some events include short film presentations or talks from Trading Standards and Neighbourhood Watch.

Junk the Junk Mail sessions offer secure disposal of scam and junk mail to be passed to Trading Standards who will contact the senders to stop further mailings, when possible.

There will be useful leaflets and other items for you to pick up from most libraries and lots of information is available at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/scamaware

All activities are free and no booking is necessary.
