Pyjama storytimes and 'soft toy sleepovers' to launch BookTrust's Bath, Book, Bed campaign
Sweet dreams start with a simple bedtime routine.....Bath, Book, Bed
The library is holding a special Pyjama Storytime to promote awareness of this new campaign from BookTrust about the importance of a bedtime routine and the benefits of sharing a bedtime story with children
Families with children aged 8 or under are invited to bring a soft toy with them and enjoy some gentle bedtime stories together. At the event we will also settle the soft toys to bed in the library and these toys stay the night in the library whilst the children go home to their own cosy beds.
Bath, Book, Bed is all about how reading with your child at bedtime can help to relax them ready for a good night's sleep. So will the toys settle nicely or will the excitement of being in the library overnight mean they want to explore? Your child will find out what their toy has been up to when they come back on Saturday to collect it.
This is a free event and there is no need to book.
A voluntary donation of £1 per family is welcomed
