How generous our volunteers are with their time! A very dedicated group of CMS volunteers made two trips in the same week to ensure that an ambitious construction job was satisfactorily completed.
The team travelled to the Moatfield greenspace in Bushey to replace an old dilapidated, wooden viewing platform - overlooking the flooded medieval moat, associated with the former Manor House - with a brand new structure made entirely from environmentally-friendly recycled plastic components. Determined to see the project completed, after two days of skilful labour, the structure now looks fantastic! Site users will be able enjoy views across the moat with all its resident wildlife for many years to come.
The group also busied themselves managing overgrown vegetation and collecting numerous bags of rubbish carelessly cast away by some site users. A massive thanks to all the folks who made an extra special effort to complete this impressive piece of work.
