Greenspace Action Plan for the Nickey Line

Posted: Tuesday 21st March 2017

The Nickey Line is a closed railway line that is now a pedestrian and cycle route connecting Hemel Hempstead, Redbourn and Harpenden.

CMS has worked alongside St Albans City & District Council, through consultation with the public and local groups including the Friends of the Nickey Line, to produce a five-year plan for the route. This will see the Nickey Line within St Albans District managed as a leisure route for people to enjoy, as a key sustainable transport route across Hertfordshire and as a vital green corridor for wildlife.
