In March 2016 Hertfordshire County Council’s Cabinet made the decision to accept Veolia’s plans for an Energy Recovery Facility at Rye House Hoddesdon.  Veolia submitted their planning application for the facility to the Waste Planning Authority in December 2016.

See the planning application.

The Development Control Committee met on 20 December and voted to grant planning permission however the Secretary of State may now choose to call-in the application, in which case it will be heard by the planning inspector at a public enquiry. If he doesn’t call in the application, the council will issue a formal decision notice granting planning permission upon the completion of the Section 106 Agreement.
