Hertfordshire Pension Fund (HPF) is part of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). The scheme is open to all employees of Hertfordshire County Council and a range of community service providers, academies, local colleges and town and parish councils.  HPF is committed to providing a high-quality pension service to both its members and scheme employers. It has regular operational meetings, oversees the LPPA contract and reports quarterly to the Pension Committee and Pension Board. HPF is responsible for any discretionary decisions and ensures that the scheme is effectively governed.

Local Pensions Partnership Administration (LPPA)

HPF work in partnership with Local Pensions Partnership Administration (LPPA) who are contracted to deliver administration services for members and employers.

LPPA are first point of contact if you have any questions about your individual pension. 

You can use the Local Pensions Partnership Administration (LPPA) members' area to:

  • make online enquiries about your Hertfordshire Pension Fund
  • access your PensionPoint account
  • access pension resources, forms and documents
  • get help and support.

  • Monday – Thursday, 9am – 5pm
  • Friday, 9am – 4pm.

Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs)

An AVC is an arrangement that allows you to build up pension benefits with a separate AVC provider alongside your LGPS pension.  The AVC provider for HPF is Standard Life.

An AVC is a separate pot of money and is not part of your main LGPS pension. You can pay into an AVC if you are in the main or 50/50 section of the LGPS.
