We proposed changes to the school admission arrangements for the school year 2023-24.

Hertfordshire County Council's proposed school admission arrangements for 2023-24

The county council proposed the following changes to its admission arrangements for 2023-24, to:

  • amend the definition and explanation for home address, where two applications are received for the same child
  • amend the oversubscription criteria for Pirton Primary School
  • reduce the published admission number (PAN) at 5 community primary schools:
    • Brookland Infant and Nursery School, Cheshunt from 90 to 60
    • Holywell Primary School, Watford from 60 to 30
    • Leys Primary & Nursery School (The), Stevenage from 75 to 60
    • Longmeadow Primary School, Stevenage from 60 to 30
    • Oakmere Primary School, Potters Bar from 60 to 30

Proposed admission arrangements for voluntary aided, foundation schools and academies for 2023/24

Take a look at the proposed admission arrangements for 2023/24 for academies, voluntary aided and foundation schools.

Schools and academies without proposed arrangements for 2023/24 will continue to use the same arrangements as determined for 2022/23. Whilst these schools are not proposing any changes that require a consultation, schools may increase their published admissions number (PAN) without consultation.
