This module will help you understand what asbestos is, as well as the health implications of exposure, where it is likely to be found in buildings and what you need to do if you suspect the presence of asbestos.


Working at Heights

This module works through what you need to know and what you need to do when it comes to working at heights.


Food Safety

This course covers topics such as personal hygiene, cleaning and contamination and contains a quiz to test your knowledge.


Health and Safety

This course aims to introduce key Health and Safety topics, such as fire safety, setting up your workstation, lone working, and stress.


Manual Handling

This eLearning module will take you through the basics of manual handling and aims to raise awareness of the dangers of poor manual handling technique on your health.


Personal Safety and Lone Working

This module provides an overview of Personal Safety and guidance about Lone Working and how to remain safe.

Autism Awareness

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) is a complex and diverse condition which can affect how people perceive the world and interact with others, and we are still learning about how it impacts on people's lives.


Prevent

This module aims for learners to identify the signs of radicalisation and understand when and how to report concerns appropriately.

Producing Accessible Content

If you create documents or any content for a website, you need to make sure that it is fully accessible. It is your responsibility by law to do so. This course will help you to understand why it is important and how you can go about making sure it is done.


Making Every Contact Count - MECC

The module will equip you with information on how to carry out brief interventions with adults regarding their general health and wellbeing, and help to signpost them for further advice or assistance.

Completing this module will help you to understand when and how to deliver appropriate lifestyle information to anyone who could benefit from making a change to a healthier lifestyle.


Armed Forces Covenant

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly. Local authorities have a responsibility to ensure that members of the armed forces have the same access to services as any other citizen and are not disadvantaged as a result of their service.

The Armed Forces Covenant in Hertfordshire is known by the name Hertfordshire Heroes.


Adult safeguarding

This module will introduce you to the different types of abuse encountered by adults at risk, and what to do if you are worried about the safety of an adult.


Social Care


Children’s Safeguarding

This module explores safeguarding issues, the signs and types of abuse, as well as online safety issues and an overview of the referral process.


Domestic Abuse

The term 'domestic abuse' covers all forms of domestic violence, however as the terms are often used interchangeably we have used both throughout the module.


Carer Awareness

This module aims for learners to gain a better understanding of the needs of carers.


MCA and DoLs

This eLearning course about the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS). The module will equip you with the knowledge to understand the role of the MCA and DoLS.

Making Every Contact Count for Older People - MECC

The module will equip you with information on how to carry out brief interventions with adults regarding their general health and wellbeing and help to signpost them for further advice or assistance.

This module has been written mainly to support older people so if you are based within the Adult Disability Service please review the advice e.g. on nutrition and hydration, or exercise to the people they support.
