What happens at a citizenship ceremony
You’ll take the Oath or Affirmation of Allegiance to His Majesty the King and make a Pledge of Loyalty to the United Kingdom. At the end of the ceremony, you’ll get your certificate of nationality.
Group ceremonies
Group citizenship ceremonies are held monthly in the Council Chamber. You would be part of a group of 40 applicants making their oath before a Hertfordshire dignitary. Citizens may bring one guest.

Express / Private ceremonies
Express / Private ceremonies can be booked if you would like to have your ceremony as soon as you receive your invitation, or would prefer to celebrate in a more personal way with the option of a few guests. These are held at:
