Best Start Family Hubs

We are developing our family hubs by building on the strengths of our existing family centres in Watford and Stevenage. As the programme grows, we expect to offer a wider range of support including:

  • activities for children aged 0 to 5
  • advice on infant feeding
  • chances to meet and socialise with other local families
  • support and advice on special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • pregnancy classes (antenatal)
  • opportunities to volunteer and support other families
  • wellbeing and relationship information, advice and guidance
  • debt and welfare information, advice and guidance
  • substance misuse information, advice and guidance
  • access to activities for older children and youth services.

What to expect

We aim to reach the children and families who will benefit most, bringing together information and support for every stage of your child’s early years and beyond.

Whether it’s to join a group, event or activity, help with your children before they start school or you just want to speak to someone for advice and support, our Best Start Family Hubs and family centres will help you with services or connect you to the right local support.
