Guidance for suppliers and other interested parties
The new Procurement Act, which goes live from 24 February 2025, will benefit suppliers of all sizes, particularly start-ups, scale-ups and small businesses
Public procurement law is changing. The reforms will improve the way procurement is done, so that every pound goes further for our public services.
If your business supplies goods, works or services to the County Council – or hopes to do so – you need to know about the changes.
The Government have created a Central Digital Platform (Find a Tender Service) for suppliers to register and store their details so that they can be used for multiple bids, and to see all above Threshold opportunities in one place including any Quotations that are advertised.
The Enhanced Find a Tender Service or Central Digital Platform (CDP): Video guides and user manuals
From 24 February 2025, suppliers can register on the Central Digital Platform - the new enhanced Find a Tender service.
To help prospective suppliers and other stakeholders prepare the Cabinet Office have published video guides with accompanying PDF user manuals. These guides will give you an overview of the platform, the registration process, and the information you will be asked to provide so that when the time comes your registration will be straightforward.
You can access the videos through the dedicated TPP GOV.UK supplier page: Transforming Public Procurement - information and guidance for suppliers, where you will also find links to the associated user manuals.
