What is parent and child fostering? A parent and child placement is a specialist type of fostering where a parent and their own child come to stay in your home to have extra support and guidance to help them develop their childcare skills.

What you get as a parent and child foster carer •Support and regular supervision from your own supervising social worker.• Full information from the child’s social worker in relation to both the parent and the child.• Specific training to provide therapeutic, nurturing and supportive parent and child placements.• A link carer that will offer you 8 hours a week support.• An enhanced payment structure of £1040.00 per week which includes a skills payment and allowances for parent and child.
