What types of fraud can I report?

  • Report tenancy, council tax or blue badge fraud to us if it's happening in Hertfordshire or Bedfordshire.
  • For housing benefit, income support or a disability benefit fraud, contact the Department for Work and Pensions on GOV.UK.
  • If the fraud was committed against you, contact your local police or Action Fraud.

  • Common types include altering a badge or using someone else's badge.

Shared Anti-Fraud Service (SAFS)

  • SAFS is a partnership of councils across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire with the aim to reduce fraud and the risk of fraud.
  • We provide a fraud prevention and investigation service to partner organisations across all services they provide.
  • This includes business rates, blue badge, tenancy and housing, procurement and contract and care services.
