Details Response to petition Title: Repair Gravel Path Petition Overview: Please sign this petition to support the campaign to have the road repaired between the two bridges in Gravel Path and made safer for both residents and road users. There are dangerously large potholes between the two bridges in Gravel Path from and including the bridge over the Grand Union Canal at The Port of Berkhamsted (The Boat Pub) and the railway bridge. The row of terraced houses along Gravel Path and any parked cars are continually being damaged by the loose tarmac material being ricocheted onto their doors and windows. The Council are aware of the condition of the road but it is not a priority. Over the last 2 years I have reported the holes via the ‘Hertfordshire Highways Online Reporting System’ and even met with a ‘Highways Officer’ to look at the road. Even after meeting with the Officer and showing him the condition of the road. The repair is still not a priority. However with your support I’m sure that the repairs can be carried out soon. Thank you for your signature. Your support is greatly appreciated. Every endeavour will be made to do these works in the first quarter of the new financial year however this is weather and road space permitting. In the meantime residents are advised to report this via our website.
