Rights of Way Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (RoW TTROs)

You can apply to make a temporary closure to a right of way. This could be for planned and emergency works or for an event.

You can't start any works until you have applied and paid for a valid traffic regulation order.

If a road is part of your closure, please complete a 'multiple roads' application form instead.


Types of temporary regulation orders

Information:

You can make a payment once your application form has been submitted, your approval email received, and your payment reference number issued.

Standard RoW traffic regulation order

These are for planned works on a right of way.

  • Cost: £1,876.92
  • Application processing time: 5 weeks minimum
  • Valid for 6 months.

Emergency RoW traffic regulation order

You must report emergency closures immediately on 01992 588433.

  • Cost: £766.02
  • Valid for 21 days.

Extension RoW traffic regulation order 

  • Cost: £766.02
  • Application processing time: 5 weeks minimum
  • Valid for up to 18 months.
