What is co-production?

Co-production is an approach where we bring people together to have their say on local services and influence how they may be delivered in the future. This includes people who have used our services (known as 'experts by experience'), carers, voluntary sector organisations and our own staff.

Get involved

To find out more about how your experiences could shape our services, register your interest.

We have a range of training opportunities available for people to learn more about co-production and we can arrange support if you need help taking part or getting your views heard. You are also able to claim an involvement fee and claim travel expenses when you take part in co-production events.

There are several ways you can get involved with co-production and help us shape services. Some roles will only require ad-hoc attendance or a one off telephone call/online survey, whilst others can be more in-depth and require a more regular time commitment.

Our co-production roles include

  • Board membership roles
  • Telephone surveys
  • Mystery shopping exercises
  • Focus group participation
  • Online surveys
  • Communication and promotional roles.

Community outreach and coffee mornings

We visit local groups, clubs and forums that run activities for people who use Hertfordshire's services. We want people to have their say on how we create these services and community outreach provides an opportunity for us to:

  • talk about co-production and its advantages
  • listen to people's experiences
  • support people with getting their voices heard.

If you are a coordinator of a local group, or know of a group that will benefit from our Community Outreach, please contact us and we'll arrange a visit.
