Young carers
If you’re under 18 and look after someone, support is available.
Carers in Hertfordshire currently provides this support on our behalf. That includes identifying young carers and their needs, and helping them as they grow up. They also offer opportunities to connect with other young carers.
From April 2026, we will start to provide this service ourselves, supporting young carers and their families. We're working with Carers in Hertfordshire to make this change smooth.
