Cemetery and burial records
The majority of cemetery and crematorium records are held by your district or borough council.
However, we do have some records for:
Churchyard burials can be found in our Online Archive Catalogue.
We also hold Monumental Inscriptions for most of Hertfordshire’s churches (these are lists of surviving gravestones)
Alternatively, you can order a search from us.
Deceased Online is another good place to find Hertfordshire cemetery records. You can get digital versions of registers, photographs, and maps of grave locations.
You can search the records for free but you have to pay to view full results.
