Shop smart

  • Only buy what you’ll actually use, buy loose and avoid multi-buys to avoid over-buying.
  • Stick to your list.
  • Don’t shop hungry!

Save time and waste.

Store right

  • List where to store the top 3 wasted foods.
  • Keep your fridge below 5 degrees.
  • Bookmark this guide to the best way to store your food Food Storage A to Z
  • Possible drop down box with table: Can this be downloadable?
  • Use by dates are about food safety. Best before dates are about quality. Food might not be at its best after the date, but it should still be safe to eat – use your senses!
  • Most food can be frozen including bread, milk, fruit, vegetables and meat. Ensure you chop/portion the food first so you only defrost what you need.
  • If you wash fruit and veg before you store it, it can spoil quicker - wash it just before you eat it.

Save freshness and money.
