Real nappies

Real nappies are cloth nappies you can wash and use again, saving you money and reducing the amount of rubbish you throw away.

  • They don't contain any chemicals or oils, so they're kind to your baby's skin.

  • Lots of padding means a soft landing for toddlers learning to walk.

  • They come in lots of different colours and patterns.

  • On average, a baby needs 4,500 nappy changes. That's 4,500 disposable nappies sent to landfill, or just 20 real nappies washed and used again.

  • Using real nappies represents a 40% carbon saving.

  • Disposable nappies can't be recycled, so swapping to cloth nappies can dramatically reduce the amount of waste put in your general waste bin and send to landfill.

A cloth nappy and a pile of disposable nappies.

  • Real nappies cost about 10p per use, compared with 15p to 25p for disposable nappies.

  • Using real nappies from birth to potty could save you up to £500.

  • We are offering a free starter kit or a reward of up to £50 to help you save even more.
